After the shots, bloodwork, and doctors, I got the big positive result we all hoped for. My first ultrasound was scheduled to confirm a heartbeat. I went in when I was 7 weeks and 3 days. The intended dads were able to be there in person and witness their daughter’s heartbeat. It was strong. My first trimester was a world different than when I was pregnant with my keeper. The morning sickness hit me hard. Thankfully that was the worst of it. I graduated from the IVF Clinic to my OBGYN. As I went to those appointments, they did the Doppler, and I was able to record the heartbeat for the intended dads. I am thankful that this trimester is over, and we are into the second now.
