That’s right we made it! Therefore, all I can say is, wow! what an experience. I absolutely loved every minute of it even through the harder parts. (The anesthesiologist got held up so my epidural was administered at 8 cm🫠) Despite my belly bug being on the larger side at 8 lb 11 oz; he was absolutely perfect and made his debut after just 4 minutes. We had a bit of a unique situation since the parents were held up with the weather and traffic. However, I feel as though we really became close throughout this journey. Myself and my husband got to enjoy newborn baby snuggles for 2 hours until they arrived. I also have to say I loved getting to relax after giving birth since I had gone through this four times before and had to care for my newborns right after going through one of the greatest traumas we can put our bodies through. It was an absolutely perfect experience and I would not change anything. I’m also very excited to get started again as they have asked for a sibling journey. I can only hope it goes just as wonderful as it did this time around. One piece of advice I would give to my surro sisters as they approach delivery is to definitely call your lawyers during the birth certificate process. I loved giving birth at the hospital I work at. However, I must say being that it is a small town and I was only the second surrogate they have ever seen. Therefore, all of that legal paperwork was a headache and a half with administration. However, one call to our lawyers made it so much easier so I am eternally grateful for their services. I suppose that is it until next time 🥰 Thank you to NYSC, my IPs and my loving supportive husband and family for making this journey worthwhile.
