Baby showers, baby showers, baby showers! Lol, but that is what is on the agenda for the 8th month of this pregnancy! Baby girl is so loved already, which is very apparent. First baby shower is at the egg donor’s beach house in New Jersey, and my charriot awaits! The guys are taking me over and bringing me home at the end of the weekend. My mom is meeting us there to enjoy in the festivities! The dad’s and I enjoyed a very nice long chat on the way over, and got there before the rest of the guests, which was nice. I spent the weekend enjoying meeting their friends and being all around pampered by the lot of them. I was even given a few gifts, which was very sweet. I also got to float around in the pool and get to know the egg donor very well. She’s an amazing person all around, and I admire her so much. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to meet her, she even got to feel baby move! The shower was sweet, and they dad’s got many beautiful things to shower on their sweet girl in July! My mom was also pampered and enjoyed the company of the many new friends we made over the weekend. 😍
Last but not least, we had the growth scan and it was wonderful to see how much she’s grown…and boy has she grown! Weighing in at 5 pounds 9 ounces and even though I was 32 weeks 4 days yesterday, that puts her in the 35 week mark and the 94th percentile! 🤯😳Needless to say, she’s doing great and likely will make an early July appearance. 😍🎉
On to the next baby shower, this time on Long Island with one of the dad’s family’s! It took forever to get there, but once there I was greeted with hugs from one of baby girl’s grandmothers! I met so many more friends and family that will love and cherish this baby girl to no end! At the end of the evening of the shower we just spent time talking and getting to know his family, which I find so special. I know this is not the norm for a surrogacy journey, and I feel so blessed to have had this experience! The dad’s took me home with their car bursting with new wonderful treasures for their daughter.
Next on the agenda…have a baby! And another growth scan, of course. 😄
